Knit Pumpkins - Learn to Knit Ribbing
Are you a beginner knitter who is tired of dishcloths and scarves? Maybe you would like to learn how to tidy up your ribbing? Perhaps you are a dab hand at knitting and want a quick knit seasonal project? Whatever your path, you are welcome to come knit pumpkins with us!
Knitted pumpkins can come in whole host of colors, shapes and sizes! They are also a fantastic way to learn how to knit rib stitch. We will cover the basics of knitting pumpkins while also covering tips and tricks for creating tidy ribbing. Instruction will include easy modifications and variations on the basic pumpkin.
Level: Confident beginner+
Prerequisite: Know how to cast on, knit and purl without assistance
Materials: 15% off all materials purchased for a class at Hacer
- worsted to bulky weight yarn. All yarn should be wound from a skein into a ball or a cake prior to class. This is a fantastic project for "scrap" yarn or partially used skeins!
- straight or circular needles to match yarn weight
- We provide: cinnamon stick stems and tapestry needles
