Merce is inspired by the nature of the Upper Rio Grande region and uses these colors and textures as inspirations to share with you on your own creative journey. Additionally she has moved her life and dye studio off the grid and uses catch water for her dyeing as well as her high desert gardening. Living in the mountains, surrounded by continuous sky, inspires her in all her creative work.GAIA is a lace weight, fluffy combination of baby alpaca, silk, merino and yak. A great carry along yarn or to be used on it's own. Gaia is a wonderful alternative to a mohair fuzzy, as some people are sensitive to mohair. It's a fluffy baby skein, named after the Mother.
