DMC Darning Needles are long, sharp darners; 2 “ - 2½ " long and are made of premium grade nickel-plated steel.  Always use the finest needle which will carry the thread or yarn you choose; cotton darners in the lower size range like embroidery needles and yarn darners in the upper size range like chenille and tapestry needles. 

DMC darning needles are designed to allow multiple strands of some threads to slip through more easily. They carry the same threads and yarns as other needle types, but the appropriate needle sizes vary slightly due to a difference in the eye shape.
