Ready to take your sewing to the next level? Intrigued by garment and  zero waste sewing? This is the class for you!

Level: Advanced Beginner
Prerequisite: Intro to Sewing Class, Machine 101 Class or familiarity with basic sewing on a machine

Two sessions, 3 hours each

What you will learn: In this class you'll be led through the making of a pair of wide leg trousers from the pattern maker Birgitta Helmersson's book "Zero Waste Patterns."   Birgitta is committed to zero waste cutting and her patterns are simple and classic. 

Before the first class you will have to choose which size of trouser you would like to make and procure the appropriate size of fabric in a medium weight linen or cotton. Wash and press your fabric. No knits for this project please. 

First Session- We will go over the pattern and cut out your projects.  Then we will go over how to thread the Bernina 300 series machines that the shop owns, and you'll start sewing!

Second Session- we will continue sewing the trousers and talk through all the finishing. Everyone should be able to finish or get very close!

You provide: washed and pressed fabric in the appropriate quantity for your size based on the pattern.
