Did you just get a new sewing machine or have one sitting around unused?
This class is perfect for you if you’ve ever wanted to learn to sew using a sewing machine, but felt intimidated, or not known where to start.
Level: Complete beginner. Just bring your machine, and we will help you get started on your sewing journey.
Prerequisite: the aspiration to sew!
*Only Basic home sewing machines. If your sewing machine has been sitting for a while, consider getting it serviced before this class to avoid any mechanical issues.
What you'll learn:
-How to set up your machine for sewing: threading, bobbins, and needles
-Stitch options on your machine
-Back-tacking
-Pivoting
-Tips, tricks, and advice on troubleshooting and what your first project should be!
What to bring:
-Sewing machine* with foot pedal, power cord, and a bobbin compatible with your machine
-Machine manual
*Machines are available if you do not have one.
