2024 Enchanted Yarn Crawl!

2024 Enchanted Yarn Crawl!

Join us Saturday September 28th through Sunday October 7th for the Enchanted Yarn Crawl! We’re celebrating fiber for a whole week so that you have an opportunity to visit as many Local Yarn Shops (LYS) as you can. This year we have a physical and virtual fiber crawl, so people who don’t live in NM can participate!

For in-person yarn crawlers, we have a passport you can either download or pick up at one of the 11 LYS participating. Here’s a map of all participating stores. Simply get your passport stamped at all 11 businesses to be entered into a giveaway. Download your passport here. We will have a drawing for yarn from local Taos dyers Pyramid Dye Works and Vortex Yarns for those who make a purchase in-person during the weekend.

We are also selling collectable stitch markers in the shape of a sparkly red hot air balloon! If you buy a stitch marker from each participating shop, you get a collectable bracelet to wear them on! Just email info@yarning.shop to get your bracelet.

We will also host a Crafting Circle at our local coffee shop, Crash Murder Business, at 10am on Saturday September 28th . Crash Murder Business is located at 312 Montezuma Avenue (directly across the street from Hacer) and makes delicious coffees and elixirs named after groups of animals. Their name comes from a crash of rhinos, a murder of crows, and a business of ferrets!

For Virtual Crawlers, all you need to do is visit the websites of the five participating shops. Each shop will have a “secret word” for you to find on their website. Hacer’s secret word is Corazón. Enter the secret words into this Google Doc and hit enter for a chance to win the raffle!

Other participating shops are: Yarning, Practical Stitchcraft, Miriam’s Well, & Looking Glass Yarn and Gifts

The crawl is co-current with the Mountain Valley Wool Fest which is taking place at the Santa Fe County Fair and Rodeo Grounds on Saturday Oct. 5th & Sunday Oct. 6th. This is a great opportunity to support local ranchers, farmers, and fiber artists! More info here!

We will also have a booth at the Northern New Mexico Quilt Guild’s Quilt Fiesta on Friday Oct. 4th & Saturday Oct. 5th. If you love quilts and fabric arts, you don’t want to miss this lovely event that happens only every other year! More info here.
